I hear on the news that Maxine Carr may be let out in the next few days

The old should be left to rot a bit longer - and apparently someone very high up in the Prison Service is trying to block it..... amazing! Someone with a little sense....

There is NO WAY she has "served her time" yet, and it would be an insult to Holly & Jessica's parents to let the minger out...

I have been in Birmingham all day to-day.. and the gritters were out on the motorway on the way back...
Thinking about it, a bit of snow at the weekend would be nice I would have to get my brandy flask out

YOu should now see a new image for when a new thread has been started, and you have not read it.. also a new graphic, for read forums.. Also a favicon, so if you bookmark this site, you get a little icon next to the web addy in your browser.. also changed the male/femal icons.... Right back to my beer...

Birmingham??? Yeughh!!!!

Snow at the weekend would be a proper pain in the A*SE!!!! I have to drive quite a way this weekend, so I want it dry, or, at the very least, I could deal with a bit of rain..... prefer some though.....

I think, that is all goes to plan, I will be out Sat and stay over in a hotel with Jane, so if my luck is in, then there will be plenty off and some and a little more may be even a bit of and I just hope I do not get too drunk and fall over...

Well, here I am at 00:35 in the morning...waiting for an upgrade or 30 to finish on my webserver...so someone *cough* can get a script working...

...and that's just the start of it..once I've upgraded the OS, I then have to start on the Apache upgrade and then finally the upgrade to PHP 4.3.4!

Users, I ask you, who needs 'em

Correct, but it was not happy, when I slit its belly, and gutted it.. then put it in the oven, and then cut of its head and tail..

Best bit was running around the house chasing Lucy n Lee with the fish... they were petrified !!

Just something about haggis that was missing...... flavour perhaps!!!

Now.... a nice bit of haslet, either in a fresh bread sarnie, or even fried with an egg..... mmmmm!!!

I will eat liver, just don't like to see, or handle, it prior to cooking.... that in itself is enough to put you over, but with bacon & onion gravy - yep! a nice (occasional) meal!!!!

I'd love to have my own zoo. You could have llamas, giraffes, puffa fish, velociraptors. Oh hang on, that's Jurassic Park isn't it? What about alligators? Are they dinosaurs too? Are zebras real? Or are they just someone having a laugh?

Maybe a zoo is a bad idea then. How about an aquarium?

You'd put orangutangs in an aquarium??

You'd have to kit them out with snorkels first.....

The sun was out here as well - but then a loud car alarm went off and scared it back in again.

I'm hoping some milk and cookies might coax it back out again......

Sara, you have an unhealthy obsession with my winkle because you're always going on about it.

The winkle is mine and I get to decide who touches it.

OK you can all have a touch now....

That's handy. Because if you had a small winkle, the poster-sized one would make it look huge.

This isn't a problem with my winkle I might add.

You know it occurs to me that Andy doesn't have a website for himself.

Maybe I should suggest to him the idea of a personal website which he could call Andy's Website which would sit alongside the Official OMD Website. What do you think?

I've just got back from my latest Japanese lesson and it was probably the most entertaining to date. Today we were doing telling the time in Japanese. This is fairly straight forward, until you get onto minutes when it gets a bit more fiddly.

So the girls did this page explaining how it worked and for some reason I just started laughing. This starting them laughing and soon we were in tears of laughter for no good reason at all.

Then for the next half an hour we couldn't go any further because we kept laughing.

At one point I said "I've changed my mind, let's do German instead!"

I made this post at rokuji (which is 6 o'clock in French).

"What time is it?"

Sounds to me like you had a "Time Zone Moment" Giggles are just brilliant, and when you get several people giggling, there is nothing better

We had a really nice afternoon, went to Sefton Park in Liverpool to see the Marie Currie Daffodil fields. This is just so nice at this time of year with one million daffodils in full bloom, you have to see it to believe it, well worth a visit.
For a very late lunch we went to the Baguette Bite http://www.larklane.com/thebaguettebite/index.htm Great food This was on Lark Lane, which has its own site http://www.larklane.com/ In fact I have been to the Baguette Bite with PaulB in the past.
A very nice day all round

I also had a dream the other night in which I was dreaming in Japanese (and in which Duncan featured for some strange reason).

The girls now think I was having a nightmare because I behave like such a drama queen during lessons

I do remember the Baguette Bite. I think I had a toasted cheese sandwich and very nice it was too.

This makes 2 of us, although I'm also coding up a merchandise section for a new site which is proving to be great fun.

Apparently you can get Degrees in E-Commerce these days, but they probably cost "a few mil" - like auction scripts.

Now if you'll excuse me I have to go to a fireworks party.....

I wasn't dreaming about Duncan specifically. He just turned up out of nowhere during my Japanese-themed dream and said "Well, as Akira Kurosawa would say..." and then he said something in Japanese which I didn't understand, so I said "Wakarimasen" which is Japanese for "I don't understand".

Looking back, this is quite funny, although it would have been funnier if I'd said " Sumimasen, watashi wa nihongo ga dekimasen" - or sorry but I don't speak Japanese.

.. do not mention age

I think I have now finished one thing that I have been working on   I  wanted to give The Satin Dolls form a look that also reflects there main site http://www.thesatindolls.co.uk So decided that the best thing to do would be to create a brand new "theme" Yes its sort of purple and pink.. And you can see the new llok forum at http://www.neiltaylor.co.uk/satindolls/cgi-bin/Blah/Blah.pl?

Mnnn, I think now, that I will need to do some sort of OMD theme for this forum... Just got to get a couple of other things finished first though

Neil's next website will be dedicated to llama fanciers. It will feature frank and explicit photos of llamas with no clothes on

I had another strange dream last night in which a tidal wave engulfed my town

Sara and Duncan will be pleased to know they were in this dream too. The bad news is you're missing, presumed drowned. I made it to high ground and was saved. Yay me!

Not three bears, but one goldylocks
Just after 2.00am and my front door bell starts to ring.. grrrr, some one messing about I thought.. I was right in the middle of trying to fix a problem with a web page.. andy way I thought I had better anser the door, and there was this "lady" that I know, who had been drinking, and she was unable to open her front door.. So, I managed to get her door open, and being the nice person that I am, I invited her in for a drink.. I knew that she had been having some personal problems, and well.. She was going out with a guy, who would not let her meet his family.. she went round to his house to find out what was going one, when invited in, he was there with 2 other chaps and 2 woman.. What is going on she asked.. At this stage it turned out that the two other woman where with one guy, one was his wife, and one his ex wife.. the three of them left the room..
So she was now with her boyfriend and another guy.. her boy friend then stated that hew was gay, and the other guy was his lover!! she went mad, he tried to kill her, she ran up stairs to find the other guy in bed with his wife and ex wife!!
She managed to escape, and well on the story went.. Any way, at 5.00am she went home... Oh what a night

... the making of babies is fun.. its just the first 20 years after they are born that is the nightmare

Any way, moving on.. Last Christmas, I had a stiff shoulder, and this in turn, ended up going into my arm, then my hand. The bad thing is that it never went away.. Well after a couple of months, my left arm (I use my mouse with my left hand hand) started to hurt, and so did my left hand. This then ended up with like a constant pins n needles. Any way, I hate doctors, but after 4 months of pain, I went.. I then had to go to the hospital for a triage appointment.
Gulp, so this morning I went to the hospital, and I have a trapped nerve in my neck   mnn !! I have to do some exercises and other things, then will be back at the hospital in a month or so. One thing that I was warned about, is how I sit at my computer   So tonight, I have had to get rid of my original desk, and set up a new one so that I can sit down right.. Then this bloody computer would not boot up correct, so 3 hours later, here I am back on-line and sat doing strange things in an upright position.

I know that this is no were near what happened to Maxine and her neck, but I tell you, I was pretty worried this morning with things I was being told..

Doesn't matter what it is.... if it affects you, you are BOUND to worry - and it won't ever fully go away (take it from one who has the T-Shirt! )...

I hope that with these things I am doing my left arm will get back to normal. But it really has made me realise just how easy it is to do damage to your neck, and how much it can affect you.
I can not even image what you must have gone through Maxine.

Hiya Les!

See Neil's post on Page 19 of this thread re: his arm, and me, well, guess you don't remember me posting many moons ago (! ) but, in 1988 I shattered two vertebrae in my neck, and then last year it kept playing up again and I got "temporary paralysis" in my arms because of it. I went to Hosp. for a MRI scan and after the results was basically told to "Go away and get on with your life......"

... so I did, and now I'm engaged to be married next April!!!!!

Hows THAT for getting on with my life!!!!!

That's good, you can never take chances with things like that..

...... I hope this weather gets' its' (Been wanting to use that smilie for ages, and this is the only way I could think of!!!!!!!! ) into gear before 13:30hrs today, cos I'm then off for a nice long weekend..... won't be back til next Wednesday ...

Obviously it's Bank Hol, but then it's Cs birthday on Tuesday, he was 40 last year and did nothing "special" so this year I'm gonna spend the day with him (in fact, the entire weekend! ) and treat him to lunch in a "fancy" restaurant, and then probably drag him off later in the afternoon for a nice big portion

We have all be out in the sunshine all day, in the garden, then a couple of hours at our local May Day fair... all very nice . But as ever for a Bank Holiday Monday, they say it is going to rain

I had a splendid day out and about in town. Good company, good music and good cake

And free cake to boot - which is always the best cake
