Quoted from NeilT
Well, as we all know prostitution is said to be the oldest industry that we know. If this is the case, then why not legalise it, well if nothing else regulate it.
It seems that no matter what is done, the industry thrives around the world. But most times it is controlled by pimps and other people, that only care about the money and not the females/males that have to supply.
As ever, when something is illegal, there is always a seedy side, and this in turn can attract seedy people...
So, for my self, I think that here in the UK we should be a little more open minded, and let demand be the judge...

Does it pay much????.....only kidding..

Ive never been to a prostitute. (Honestly)     But I do feel it should be legalised.

Prostitution will never stop, so legalise it and make it safe.

In countries where it is legal, prostitutes are checked for diseases on a weekly basis, which makes it safer for her and her clients.

It is taken out of the seedy underworld, which will help protect women from the degradation and abuse handed out by pimps.

In turn this will probably cut down on NHS costs aswell. For diseases and beatings.

Nigel ?  Oh yeah, he's up there !

I think the same.....making something illegal only makes it harder to police...and like you say Nigel....the checks can only be a good if not essential part of it.

Great entry for your CV when you hit your 40s and want a "proper" job!!!! You'd get a far more interesting interview when discussing previous jobs!!!

Should be legalised.
It can be properly monitored, the girls can have regular 'proper' healthchecks, and the Risk of serious diseases can be reduced or eliminated. It also secures a safer environment for them, being a licenced area or premises, with proper staff to regulate and monitor, removing some of the more violent aspects associated with 'Pimps' etc....

I am all the things I regret
