This is just taking the piss. Although it would be a huge job Ebay need some way of screening/approving stuff that falls into certain categories before it's  listed. My complaint is on its way.

Unfortunately, that auction went to completion and eBay didn't remove it. I only noticed it last night mind.

The other things he's selling all have suspiciously low opening bids too.

I do want this guy's details so I can at least ban him from the OMD Forum (if he's on there) and block him from buying stuff via the website.

I totally agree.  These sort of people are very selfish and are out to make a fast buck, no matter who they stamp on during the process.  So go for it Neil as far as I'm concerned.

I've always wanted an OMD DVD myself, but such a thing hasn't been officially released yet. Anyway, eBay is full of users who burn footage onto DVDs and sell them to make money. But by doing so, they are going against copyright laws. I ended up paying £10 for a Nik Kershaw DVD that was a friggin' bootleg.

You should report the seller!!
I have no problem with people converting things to DVD or CD, I have enough stuff done here, but then to sell it for profit, well, that is just wrong, as simple as that, just wrong...

Before Christmas, I had trouble getting the toy that my daughter wanted, so had a look at eBay. People were selling the toys for double of more the cost. I decided against being ripped off and good old Tescos came up with the goods at a discount well before Christmas. eBay plays on our weaknesses and fears - be strong! Sorry about the pirated pics, Neil.

Onwards and upwards...

Ebay can be a great tool if you know how to use it and spot the scams....

I hear someone paid about £350 recently for a scarce XBOX 360, and was sent a photo of one instead, as quoted in the unseen small print on the listing. Take care and you can get some great stuff there.

But there are too many wanting to rob you of your cash by scamming and decieving you. Ue the facilities to report these people if you become a victim, and get to know your rights should you fall foul. But with a little vigilance you will be fine. I'm not pro-Ebay, but just have good experiences and some real bargains.

Sadly, Corky, that kind of thing is all too prevalent.  I personally would never use eBay for anything over about £40-£50.  That sum is easier to write off as a loss that £350 (ouch...).
