Takeaway often works well in those kind of instances - but you should have got Neil to reset the trip!!!! [/quote]

Poor Neil was convinced he caused the explosion!

Besides which, most often he now offers to cook at his instead - no complaints there!

Lucky you!!!!

My darling husband says he "can't cook"; although I don't know how he knows that, cos he's never tried (well, not since I've been with him anyway!!! )

I don't mind really though - I enjoy cooking; and leave the DIY to him!!!

When you are alone you don"t take the time for a selfmade meal.
I had that too when i was single

I used to cook for myself - I just prefer to cook for two or more

I won't buy any "ready meals" or pies (I bake my own). Needless to say we don't have them often cos I don't have time - but won't spend my money buying ones with loads of "E" numbers either!!!

I used to cook a lot, but really got out of the habit since my child does not like food very much in general. I got weary of scraping uneaten meals into the bin...   She's happy with exciting meals like pasta and butter...
we still do pancakes each weekend, though
And when I cook for Neil, things start exploding...

I was on my own so had scampi out of the freezer. Did have some home made rhubarb crumble in the fridge though, which went down very well (even my daughter eats that!).
