Well here I am, nursing a small hangover, after a fantastic night at SUMMERPOPS. Ive not seen the guys live on stage since 1985, and still got the rush of excitement and enjoyment right from the very first note of A&M, the bassline reverberating through my body just put a massive smile on my face.
The vocals and the music throughout the set was fantastic. My own vocals weren't up to much, but sung my heart out anyway. I also ended up with a bruised hand through all the clapping. An hour and three-quarters passed in the blink of an eye; call me selfish, but I wanted more, more, more. Ive never known time to fly by so fast, or enjoying a concert so much. Roll on the next OMD tour !
The day actually started well before the concert, when I finally got to meet several of the forum members. It was a great pleasure to meet you all and enjoy a quick chat with you. I was like a nervous little puppy, meeting all these "hardcore" OMD fans who have already been to several concerts on this tour (and the fact it was the first time Ive been out for about 2 years), but you were all as friendly as you are on the forums and helped me feel at ease. Thank you all !
