It will be available via the official OMD site.. but, well we know how long these things can take... My bet is that it will be a September/October release

Not to bothered if it's in the shops or not. I have bought 3 items from the merchandise section now and found it very easy to use- would like to see more of the tour stuff on there though.

Bet those that got caught out, did so years back.... I look after and have set up a number of e-commerce web sites, and never, ever, not even once has anyone had any problems. I have been buying from the net for years and years, and have never had a problem.

I have to agree Neil, although i am pretty new to this electronic lark, i have purchased a few items on line now and as yet not had any problems. But i suppose there is always a possibility that something could go wrong. As they say - if it can, it will.

I've been caught out on Ebay, but the victim was really the Buyer, whoses accounts were hijacked. Fortunately I had the foresight to spot an over eager 'buyer'.....

Tell tale signs are there if you know where to look

As for other online purchases, I make a few each month, never been bitten. Its no safer than actually going to the shop. And garages are quite dangerous now.

Heres a story from Andy Macs home town this week.......

(off topic I know.....back to the DVD)

Looking forward to it, and will buy it however its marketed!!

Money is going out of our pockets/bank accounts like water this year as we build the new house - so gigs; holidays and other "luxuries" have had to go on the back burner IYKWIM.

The DVD will be good though - and I can buy that with the small amount of cash I have left from my birthday money!

Rob Finighan was at Aintree to film extra footage for the OMD documentary, Souvenir.  (WHICH GOES ON PRESALE TOMORROW, WHEEEEE!!! - but I digress).  According to his myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/omdthemovie), he was only allowed on stage to film the crowd.

However, according to the thread on the Official Forum that I referenced before, additional cameras were observed elsewhere filming other things.  PauB hinted that there would be Aintree footage in the "Live" DVD (which is different from the Rob's documentary - DID I MENTION IT GOES ON PRESALE TOMORROW?).
http://www.omd.uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3769&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

If, like Corky suggests, Aintree footage will be spliced into the May 19 show, I'm glad the band wore the same outfits every show.  It should make for almost seamless segues (I hope, but you know I'll be looking for inconsistencies anyway -  ).

This is very odd.  The link now leads to the following mysterious verbiage:
Quoted Text
LIVE - ARCHITECTURE & MORALITY & MORE

For the first time ever on DVD this programme will feature the twelve complete races in their entirety with paddock shots and interviews with the winning connections wherever possible. Featuring original commentaries from the BBC this programme relives the romance and emotion from the greatest Grand Nationals run over the last 45 years of the televised race. With narration from the legendary Sir Peter O’Sullevan this incredible programme is steeped in horseracing nostalgia.

I'm thorougly confused.    I didn't know OMD ran in the Grand Nationals!

Was this a charity event?  Seems like an odd promotional tool for a band!  Maybe the race is included on the DVD as an "extra!"

Speaking of which, all of the release information has been removed as well!

Update from OMD News Page
http://www.omd.uk.com/html/news.html:
Quoted Text
The OMD Live DVD which was filmed at London's Hammersmith Apollo earlier this year is unlikely to see a release date prior to 2008. The band were not happy with the visual editing so the footage is going to be re-edited. It's unfortunate that a lot of people who are waiting on the DVD will be frustrated, but the concern is that this release should be the best document of the Architecture And Morality tour.

It's frustrating, but I think the wait will be worth it.

I'm sure it will, too.
In the meantime, I'll just keep driving the neighbors insane with Drury Lane.

That is frustrating, you are so right Paul, was really looking forward to it soon, but i suppose if they are not happy with it then it's only right that they should re-edit and issue it in it's ultimate glory.
