Been wondering if theres any future shows in the works?? If so, I'd better start saving for airfare!
I'm only bringing this up because I read the interview with Andy, (which I assume was written well before the tour), and he seemed very dead set against doing any OMD shows. Has he changed his mind completely? Was this tour a one-time thing? Does he feel he and the others have it in them to do more shows? I should probably read up on the omd.com site, but sometimes they don't have too much info either.
I was just thinking that from the pictures I have seen, and the clips from the shows, they still got it together. Yeah, they're older, but they still sound good and look good. And it looks like they were having fun.
That sounds like there might be some very good news coming our way!
Debbie, the shows were excellent, they are even better than in the 80's Ok, so i might be slightly biased but if you do get the chance - and hopefully us as well - you must see them live, worth every penny - or cent in your case

Debbie, I think it's fair to say that last year's tours went even better than anyone expected. Even our own Mr.T here was pleasantly surprised how quickly the tickets sold out for most of the shows, lol
And, when the concerts came around, Andy said on stage that if they had known how good it would be touring again they would have not stayed away so long...
The concerts were great fun, especially being able to meet with fans that we knew.
That would be soooo cool!! I'd jump at the chance to see them live, and no, Neil, I won't hound you for details!! I am glad Andy changed his mind, at least a little, since that interview. They were a damn good band with beautiful songs, and people are still crazy about them - they should pop out random shows here and there. I see cool bands come here a lot (English Beat were here last year, missed em > The Alarm [tho not the same > >] is here all the time, Howard Jones plays a lot) All these bands I didn't get a chance to see in the 80's still play. And its awesome! I say, heck, if people want it, squeeze as much as you can out of it!!!

Debbie, I don't know how much you follow the threads on the Official OMD forum, but there was a lot posted before they decided to tour again. I (and others) posted at the time that they should only do it if they would enjoy performing again. When it came to it, they did and they did, very much so, if that makes sense! lol
Oh, Debbie! The concerts were fantastic, excellent, magnificent, splendid... Saw them the first time in my life. Planned to go to both London concerts in May (btw, it was the first time i was going to go abroad). Before was sure, the gigs were going to be great, but didn't expect, that soooooooo faaaaaaaantastic. In June read about other fans emotions about other gigs, cried and decided, i had to go to Aintree. Put santim to santim carefully and- there i was!!! All four seemed so pleasant and happy. Andy's voice was so powerful and dancing ... I thought, they were even better than years ago. My fav tour photo is this one, and it makes me be sure, Neil's words will come true!

How many times have feelings vanished in your head? How many times must they be lost before they're said?
Great photo Amber! Did you take that yourself? Were you that close? I can only imagine how exciting that was for you! It must've been a wonderful experience. I've never been overseas myself, and it will probably scare the crap out of me, but I just have to go (if they do another, that is... )
Sandra, no, I don't usually visit the OMD forum. I tried getting on, but am on Yahoo and am not able to, so I figure why torture myself reading posts I can't comment on. I suppose I should, just to keep up with the buzz. (Although, I did write in their guestbook a while back, and Andy, yes that Andy, posted a message back to me!!!! That was so cool!)
