Ive gone for ELO here. Wasn't a great fan of the popular music of the 70s, but ELO stood out from the rest that were posted here. (Slade and T-Rex were considered too)

But what happened to the SeX PiStoLs ?

Nigel ?  Oh yeah, he's up there !

Could have been Roxy Music and I classify Kate Bush more as an 80s act.
So I went for 10CC ... never liked the Bowie gimmicks that much.

I put Kate Bush in here Dazzler because it all started for her in '78 with her biggest - and best - single and album.

Wot? No Bay City Rollers? .. no seriously I went for ELO, as I immediately associate them with the  '70s'; I'm also a fan of 10CC but only 'discovered' them last year; Kate Bush also-ran, but she did the bulk of her work in the 80s and her best album was Aerial a mere 2 years ago!

What about ABBA?

Actually come to think of it I was surrounded by older kids lsitening to BSR, Rubettes, Suzi Quatro, Showaddywaddy, G. Glitter, Slade .. all that stuff .. proobably why I missed Bowie, Roxy Music and the more 'class' stuff.
