Voted other. Honest enough to say I don`t agree with all the main parties views. Our immigrant situation needs sorting out - and fast!

So the other is winning... this must be much better than the "out"   Remind me to tell you what a "out" is   In any election "out" always wins, but this is never reported..

we don't have here a labour party.We've got Wouter bos(PVDA) and Balkenende(CDA.)
And I hate balkende 4.Because at the princeday(every 3 tuesday of september) they showed the budget of 2008.and gues what. We,we earned 1 to 1.5 modal had to pay more money to the trasury then we ever do.The poor get a little bit money, while the rich payed a little.
so they don't feel it. and we feel it more
And at the election of couple years ago I don't vote. Why!!!!!! they made promises, that they never came true. That's why.
A other thing.A year ago I saw a tv program about the gouverment.and gues what!!!!!!
For every stupid question that they asked, the treasury looses 2000,00 euro. And if it happens 10 times a week, that's 20000,00euro times 12 made 240000,00 each year.Well I know what I do with this money

well, part of doing election things is to "Canvass" that is knocking on doors to see how you will vote.. My ward has around 5,000 houses, so we get round to knocking on all of the doors, but as you start your night, you also have a thing called a canvas sheet, on this you mark, lots of things, this includes a section called "Out" you tick this box, if the door you knock at, you get no reply, so the person is marked as a "out" So, in polotics, when you canvass, no matter what party, the "outs" always win

At the last election, I argued with one of the 'door knockers'; and hard as he tried, he had to admit defeat in the end....I like talking to 'em, especially those that I would never vote for in a million years; and following his 'backdown', I won!!!

I was a campaign manager once.... but was a canvasser too, a few times.... and the trekking thats done on foot is no joke.... so now I have sympathy for canvassers, even if I wouldnt vote for their party.   Unless of course they are pushy, then I just close the door in their face

If this was the case, the person doing it, did not know what they were doing The idea of canvassing is to get to as many houses as possible, and to never get stuck talking on any doorstep If someone on the doorstep wants to talk policy, you should take there details, and let them know someone will call at a latter date to chat to them

a secret divice... If you have a party, that you are NOT going to vote for, and if they knock on your door.. keep them talking for as long as you can, the longer you have them chatting, the less door knocking they will do, and the more damage to there campain A good "door knocker" should be with with you no more than 2 minutes..

This was an older guy who had been a councillor for 'years' and I, as a fairly new resident, wanted him to compare and confirm where it was better here compared to where I used to live. He didn't do very well!!!

I ove the repetitive syndrome. Rather than give a direct answer, repeat the same statement to neither deny or admit.

Like the politician on TV last week who had his photo 'photoshopped' into a group shot as he was late to a function, but wanted to be included. Harmless really, but watching him repeat the same statement several times to all the questions asked of him on TV was  so hilarious...

Dogs work wonders for unwanted visitors! Especially if you let them poke their heads thro the door when you answer it. Good to keep the bailiffs at bay too! (so I`ve heard!)

If there was no warning that a dog lived there, you could sue. Police advised me to put warnings up in case one of mine bit a burglar!

Would the dog have paid the fine anyway?

Remember Dad getting bit by a terrier when he was a Postman in the early 80s, subsequently losing most of his hair for almost a year. Scary.

Agree with you there. Infact, it not really the dogs fault. Its only only protecting its property. Really, owners need to be a bit more careful on the dogs getting to the door. Postmen can refuse to deliver to that address - luckily, my one is understanding and leaves the post under a plant pot!

My ex had his hand bitten while delivering leaflets.... the hospital nurse was able to tell him where the dog lived cos he was the 3rd one that day.

My mums postman delivers her mail to my aunts house next door, cos mums dog is huge Lol. Hes not bitten anyone, but he can be scary.

Just for info: I was told by the police that if my dogs attcked someone in the house ie a burglar, I could be done! My motto is, if you dont want to be eaten, and you don`t want a beating, don`t break into someones property! Common sense really!

Dogs - fraid you're talking toa real cynophobe here. When I was a child, I used to run around screaming if a dog came near me. Even now, I feel very insecure taking a walk in a park, etc, in case there is a loose dog. It does spoil things for me. On the other hand, some dogs I'm fine with - it all depends on circumstances.

I dont trust some breeds either, tho was never attacked by a dog...... (well cept for a few Saturday nights out Lol. but a swift, well aimed knee fixed their wagons Lol). But Ive heard that a small dog can be just as vicious as a large dog, yet its the large dogs that tend to worry me. My friend has a Doberman , and its a big softy with her kids, but I cant go in the house while its there

Dont like Doermans. Small dogs are just as nasty. Mine play with the kids - but would never leave someone strange with them. (in fact, the kids are probably worse than the dogs!)

You need to put it/them into Neil's "Your Pics" thread in Chit Chat then!!

You use the attachments bit in the 'more post options' bit!
