Was going to go into Brum today, to see if i could blag my way in to catch a glimpse of the boys before tonight. Not much hope of `bumping` into them, as the Symphony Hall is attached to the hotel by a walk through bridge, so they don`t need to go outside. Was even tempted to put my Ambulance uniform on - that can get you in anywhere! So looking forward to tonight, and its the first time `live` for my lad.
Well, absolutely fantastic night. My lad loved it. Andy and the gang have lost nothing. I won`t post stuff about the songs yet, might ruin it for the London gig. Also, a cracking set by China Crisis - who i have followed for years. They took time out to sign stuff and had photos with them. The only downside of the night was the over zealous staff at Symphony Hall. They pounced on anybody who dared to take a picture of OMD. Half way thro the first song, everybody stood - and remained standing throughout - I could not see anybody sitting. Lots of dancing - just like the old days. Brilliant night.
Hellooo Ive only just recovered from the London Roundhouse gig.. simply amazing.. never been to that venue before, but would defo go again it lent itself to the show.. Blown away by hearing statues. stanlow and genetic engineering again, all in all it had the feel of an 80's omd gig took me right back.. even china crisis were good they made it even more memorable..
My only regret is that the boys didnt do europe, I love the jaunts across the channel. I'm glad that everyone feels the same as me, and fingers crossed theres still more to come.. fingers crossed a new album and tour next year would really be spoiling me..
