I work in a 25-story building. For MONTHS now, a woman from a company from the lower floors (they apparently take up three floors) has been coming up to our floor's bathroom - sometimes several times a day.
The morning is especially intrusive because of the two sinks only ONE has a working faucet, and she spreads her makeup, cell phone, purse, and other personal effects all around this sink. She puts her cell phone right at the top of the sink exactly where it could be splashed by water. (She also brings in a ROLLING SUITCASE every day.) She does move when someone else needs to wash, but it's in the midst of all her, um, stuff (to put it politely). Now, the company she works for has SEVERAL floors so this woman could go to any of THREE ladies' restroooms. Not to mention that she also comes up during LUNCHTIME and at other points during the day. After work at around 5:00 she comes back AGAIN with her rollling suitcase and changes into casual clothes. In the mornings she could be in there for 1/2 hour or more putting on her full application of makeup. I'm talking THE WORKS, every day.
We've complained to the office of the building, which put out a memo to the whole building for people to please use the restrooms on their own floors. We've complained to this company's office manager. This woman still comes, and she's not even embarrassed about it, often singing and being all cheerful, as if by behaving this way we won't notice that she's doing something inappropriate.
I saw her this morning again as we got off two different elevators and I must have given her sort of a frozen look (unintentionally, but I do not have friendly feelings towards this woman) because after I passed by she gave an exasperated sigh.
I don't know why this is bothering me so much. You know, when she first started coming I thought maybe she was having work done at her house or something, but I found out later this isn't the case. Her story is that her husband drops her off early and she "has to" finish getting dressed at work. Whatever, but do it on your own floor - oh, excuse me, FLOORS. Also, why does this woman even have TIME to keep running up to our floor to use the restroom? The only elevator that goes to ALL floors is the freight elevator.
This hasn't gone unnoticed by the people in our floor. A couple of people in my office have dubbed her "the homeless lady."
*sigh*I guess I just need to chill out and stop thinking with my "monkey brain" eh?
Come to think of it, before all this started happening, we received a memo from the building about staying on your own floor to use the bathroom. Maybe that memo was also prompted by her actions.
I hate to be a meanie . . . I guess I need more patience.
