Not exactly a question of the week, but a question in general.

Has anyone been to a Midge Ure gig recently, and was it any good ?

He is coming to Birkenhead in December to do a 1 man show and I don't want to waste my money on something I am not going to enjoy. Ive heard so many bad stories about artists doing acoustic sets and disappointing the viewing public. (this is not to say all acoustic sets are a disappointment though)

Thank you.

Hello peeps,

In about 10 days it's easter.
And what did you all do with easter.

Well I made my start, with this threat.

at the first easter day we get up at nine and we eat croissants, with cooked eggs.My daughter get's a bread in a form of a rooster and be bought something(little) of chocolat and a stuffed pullet.
Then at 10.00 we'd go to the infant church(special for little kids)
After then,we's go for a coffee. And if the weather is nice,we'd go for a walk, otherwise we stayed at home.
for diner we had chickenfilet with a crust, patatoes in form of letters and baby carrots and french beans.
At the second easter day,I think we do nothing.Maybe only go for a walk.
We can't visit my parents, because of my dad and my mother in law is on a little vacation.

How did you learn to read? / the alphabet

With talk of how to say Kodak I wondered how folks out there learnt to read / the alphabet.

Myself, I learnt the aphabet by rote i.e. a for apple , b for ball, c for cat, and had a Ladybird book to assist me with lovely coloured pictures.
I then moved on to the Ladybird series of Peter, Jane and Pat the dog. I then read other Ladybird books and became an avid reader.
I've found that reading is great escapism into another world and more satifying than watching a movie or play.

so did you learn with annie apple or puddle lane? or some other way?
